Julia Cosh holds a doctorate Biomimetics from the University of Southampton. As a distraction from writing her thesis, she became fascinated by the bioengineering of her own five cats. Her observations inspired her to apply her cross-disciplinary expertise and create the ultimate cat manual.

Ian Heath studied at St Martin’s School of Art in London before becoming a prolific Fleet Street cartoonist. Nowadays he spends much of his time painting and has exhibited in Spain, Portugal and the UK. He’s currently having fun creating papier-mâché sculptures and is constantly adding to his range greetings cards. He has published two books for children (That Cat) and more than 70 other books.

Viv Croot is a writer and editor specialising in illustrated reference for adults, She has tackled most aspects of popular culture, from astrology to wellness, and is very fond of cats, so was a natural pick to reveal the enigmatic Miaouw culture to the uninitiated.

Nell Faulkner writes reference books for adults and children on a wide range of subjects, as well as fiction for young readers. She has benefitted from the wisdom of at least 11 cats over the years, and lives in rural Essex.

Tara Noble is a scientific communicator, interfacing between hard science and the average brain, helping to make big ideas comprehensible. She has worked for NASA, and for Elon Musk among others, and writes the occasional columns for New Spaceman. This is her first cat based project.
